When Hira Industries LLC & Walraven Group decided to move to a new home at National Industries Park, they tasked design consultant Swiss Bureau Interior Design to create a unique space that reflected their core business. Our client’s intention was to create an industrial loft themed workspace, yet one that was practical, warm and one that would make their team feel like home. The space consists of key areas like a double-height reception area, a pantry, a break-out area, the CEO’s office, manager offices, a client lounge, meetings and storage rooms, and one large open workspace area along with back-of-house offices in the factory area.
An interesting element to the design concept was the placement of MEP at the forefront of the design – making the ‘usually unnoticed’ stand out as part of a cohesive design. Our role in this project was to provide furniture solutions that blended in well with this theme.
The operative furniture selected and installed belongs to the OGI Collection from MDD, our partners based in Poland. The straight N-Legs shape in white powder coated metal with oak finished tops adds on the overall theme, while the soft-seating units from Edimass were a great solution for the lounge collaboration, with both the furniture types complimenting each other.
An ideal partner to the OGI workstations are Teknion’s Krystal Task chairs, offering full ergonomic support and seating comfort. Additionally, the Volt chairs from Pedrali provided the right amount of simplicity, comfort, and aesthetic value to the pantry areas.
The result is a stunning space that reflects the company’s values and shows off their core business in style. The design is one that embraces modern values and trends in corporate workspace design, and the ensures the workspace stays true to HIRA Walraven’s branding and identity.
